Louis Vuitton as a brand has "finally" come to social media, via Twitter. Their official Twitter username is LouisVuitton_US. Like most famous companies or people, they've already gathered thousands of Tweep followers, and also like those bigwigs, follow few themselves. But the difference is LV is not following fellow designers, but more "true"? friends, namely their fans who show some of the most support; fashion bloggers. The designer twitter team is mostly following the biggest blogs in the name of fashion, with other choice quality sites, as well as magazines.
So perhaps if you show up on their radar, Louis Vuitton will follow you, too?
On my craft/fashion brand's blog (link below) I also posted this pondering about whether or not it's cool for the indie school to be inspired by the likes of Michelle Obama and her funky-chic statement necklace here.
It's so bold, there are so many options to take different roads with this inspiration. And I see stuff I could totally do, but is that crafty kosher?
For you crafters and designers, would you take inspiration from the celeb scene? Would you buy something like that?
Apparently Mr. and Mrs. um... Seal? like to renew their vows yearly on their wedding anniversary - yes, every, year. How sweet. But the wealthy celebrity couple also, apparently, like to make them "fun" themed events. We suppose this keeps guests happy at what could otherwise be snoozy events. But this time the couple went redneck, complete with bridal cornrows. Is this a fashion I Don't or what?! At least it is just a silly *joke*, unlike the pairing's marriage.
We're starting a wedding-season and recession-season bridal series with tips on budget conscious wedding planning. With the cost of weddings, they could be useful for many whatever the year.
On to it----- so have you heard about the brides who pick one color of dress but let their bridesmaids choose from different styles, so that everyone has a better chance of being flattered? Well how to do this for different budgets, too, when boutiques seem to always charge at least $100?
What about going with that common "black" tie color itself, of course black? The 'maids could then pick from different stores too. The trick is: command all shiny dresses, none matte for they may be different darknesses.
An argument to this different price points idea is that bargain dresses may not look as good as designer ones, if any of the party, or the person paying for the entire event, can afford that anyway. I wonder what you fashionistas think of this idea, so here's a poll!
Brides, you can use this to help you decide whether this is a good idea.
With these looks your preference might merely be decided by your style personality----girly or edgy? In this case, the girly pick is the bargain. How refreshing.
It's an ever-ultra-fashionista feminine look that returns time after time, and right now it's looking especially hot on celebrities. Not overdone right now, it's much done subtly. It's even made for the masses through trendy Forever 21. As a regular gal---would you dare to try to pull it off?
Masculine or still-femme-infused and mostly black all over---pants suits and body suits were themselves quite covering the Costume Institute Gala red carpet.
We're still not convinced this looks so great most of the time, but with what we spot we definitely think the trend's got a "leggings"-up on Hollywood and fashion stars.
Newsflash, being First Lady is not a Hollywood job, and the events one attends are not like the Oscars. Recently There's been some fuss over Michelle Obama wearing a dress she wore earlier this year, but is anyone suprised? If she "mixes low end" then why wouldn't she keep her wardrobe to re-use pieces?
Re-wearing clothing articles is not akin to recycling, but some snobs give it the same novelty without the praise.
The Obamas have always been real, beautiful but real, and real people, and probably all of my readers re-wear wardrobe items. The rest of you, get over yourselves.
