designer Rachel Roy via Twitter press conferenceCome with us to @ttend this designer's press event on Twitter.com. It's happening just about now @ 3pm EST. We wrote about this happening and featured some of her fashions on the blog earlier, here.
See you there, then see you back here!

Even the oft-thought of being not "real" women, celebrities, may not look their best in the hottest trends when taken to high fashion extremes, unfortunately.
Even though we love this 3.1 Phillip Lim dress, we all may have to face the possible reality that it's more art than wear.
(Although we now wonder about its skirt version!)

Rachel Roy, designer of what you see above and more, is debuting a diffusion line, Rachel Rachel Roy, to be sold exclusively at Macy*s department store, and she's in the midst of introducing this (and to many still, herself) online ... through Twitter. (source: Style It)
Today, Thursday April 30th at 3 p.m. EST she will be answering your questions (if tweeted with the #rachelroy characters) via a groundbreaking (or is it really?) Twitter Press Conference @rachel_roy. We believe there is still time to get questions in this morning. Also note Rachel tweeted through @Coutorture yesterday as well, discussing the corresponding fashion show.
This should be interesting as far as Internet breakthroughs and tech fun are concerned, and to those in the fashion world, especially blogosphere, but of course it's also about the clothes. So enjoy these selections from her main line's current collection, above.

The Five Fingers shoe by Vibram fits a foot like a glove ... but of course with a ground-intended sole. These things are worse than those 1990's toe socks. Check out that even the soles are contoured to a foot. The footwear is likely comfortable, but how could anyone feel confident in public in a pair?
Somehow this unique "fashion" even won an award back in 2007, but they're beyond the women of the world. In a beneath us kind of way. ;-)
They're sleek, stylish, funky/fun, colorful yet tote-ally green all over. The Market totes by Built (r) are designed to beat plastic in more than just eco-reusing, they're insulated to hold in food's temperatures and are even patended with more patents pending.
However ranging from $20 to $40 from small to large, and with your entire grocery load, you might have to be a Whole Prices shopper already to afford these.
If not, they also make lunch totes and other food/drink towables for maybe picnics to enjoy the green scenery, to just get that neoprene insulation.
