Suffering succatash!!! OK enough with the S alliteration, but my tongue is practically hanging out of my mouth anyway. Or it's closer to my eyes bugging out. After I saw this new bag from Marc Jacobs my mind went into a tizzy.

The good news for all is that unlike many designers, this new and later version does not come complete with price hike. This Quilted Cecilia sells for the same as the standard Stam - well just a few dollars, literally, more - at $1375.

The bad news for me is that I now have rent to pay and have less to spend on fashion, since my money goes mostly to purse making and fibre art supplies (oh yes, after bills ;-)). I did just get a new job that starts in a month, but ... mmmmmmm. That's supposed to go toward me *not* "borrowing" rent money from my mother, actually. Te he. (Hey I'm still weak, weak Designer Ella, even with my new making the bags things!)

Now I'd love to sell off a bag to get this, I would really looove to buy this bag, but I sure don't actually want to sell my Stam. Someday though, I hope hope for someday.

Until now I plan on making a details-altered inspired bag. More inspired, less knock off, trust me. I'm going to chronicle this journey here on the blog, too! At least this fugly bag is pure joke ... um, right, Etro?

Seriously, this company does make nice bags, what's up with their odd language-referencing campaign? (Visit the website and click on "fish" for English to see what I mean.)

It's a sandal! It's a boot! It's .. sasquatch? How these shoes by Etro don't get less praise and more jabs than Uggs is beyond me. I didn't pay them much mind until I read recent reports saying these ... yes, these hair-like fringy tall shoes, are the IT shoe of Spring 2008.

Ummmm at least they conceal those missed patches??

Lewis Black and his gang won't need to debate on this issue, because the two crusaders of the dark side have teamed up to make this shoe:

Croc Mary Janes (in purple here) with Hannah's name on the foot strap and her likeness on the heel strap. Complete with holes, this is the brainless child of Satan and his young mistress.

Of course, how bad the Crocs' guilt goes lies within the question: are Crocs okay on Kids? But that Miley Cyrus is certainly dastardly in her world domination (and demon-ination). It's she I stand less!

According to this article on AOL, sparklier diamonds are often actually fakes (especially with a rainbow sparkle). And then I think, "then give me the fake!" What I want especially out of my engagement ring (or any diamond) someday is such a brilliant cut, etc., that it's as sparkley as can be. So why is genuine always better?

Can an inspired BAG be better than the higher priced originals? I once though I liked my Birkin-style bag from Wilson's Leather because it had shoulder straps (like the JPG Shoulder Birkin) but now I think, "eww, long straps!" (To be fair, they weren't, like, down at my hip long or anything!) So maybe the experts always know what's best for us, even if we do not? I mean, higher quality (if it exists in higher price - but that's another entry) usually means longer life. Diamonds may NOT be "forever" but they can cut up a mean amount of things, while remaining in tact. While I want my true love to be gentler than that, I want our feelings toward each other to be just as tough to trials and time. Genuine diamonds DO kind of give that statement.

Of course, they also give the statement, "I don't care who's blood shed for your diamond, honey, I love you so much, I just care about you having your selfish bling!"

What says love like the uncaring of all others, huh? ;-)

These pants go way far too beyond skinny jeans. I barely recognize them as being denim (don't they kind of resemble a blue heather fleece?) And then we get to those sneakers. Lindsay looks like her feet belong on a teenaged boy. That ensemble is an insult to her fantastic patchwork handbag.

By the way, I was out of the fashion game for a while, and now cannot find this bag anywhere after a day's research - can you name it or the designer?
