The gossip is that Mr. President Obama might be addicted to his Blackberry because he's actually addicted to the game, BrickBreaker. (The game's official website must be experiencing too many hits right now because it's down.)

Now this is something "reported" by Star Magazine. And when I ask can you believe it, I meant it; can we believe this news? Would Barack not let his toy go because of one game???
Perhaps Obama really is a normal guy!

Apple Computers is giving us working proof that environmentalism fails in the face of business. If a company produces things made of solar power, we think that's green, as in environmentally-friendly, right? But if that company attempts to patent this technology, therefore not wishing to share/spread/encourage all competition to do the same (we're not in competition when the Earth's life is at stake though!) - that's not about saving the world at all, it's about getting the edge = getting the green, but not lush leafy green; dark, dirty dollar signs green.
Dirty is right! And it's not sexy. Sure, sitting out on my back patio un-plugging away on my fully wireless-ness until I can't take the global Florida heat anymore sounds like an attractive prospect, but this - it's not "hot". In fact, I find it rotten.

Motorola has officially announced the KRZR K1, aka the Canary. It should be available in the 2nd half of this year, which is sooner than was speculated. The first round will only offer the phone in dark gray and blue colors, though. But of course due to the popularity of pink, it's of opinion that pink should follow in only a matter of time.

Introducing the Motorola "Canary" or the Razr 2. Cute Gadgets got photos of it via Engadget, but only Cute Gadgets showed the picture I'm most interested in:

Yes, it's a phone as slim as the Razr, but much less wide. No word on colors, but when it comes out in pink for Cingular, it'll be perfect, and it will be mine all mine. With my clumsiness, I think my current phone will be dropped too many times and need a replacement by then. The Canary is set to come out in 2007, but will a pink version come quickly right after??? I can only pray! (Yes, pray! For a phone, yes sillies.)
I've been wanting to pretty up my cell phone but haven't wanted the puffy stickers that fall off or fake designer cases. So my poor lil phone has had to go out on numerous occasions, sans makeup. I was really in a bind about how I could dress up my cell until today. Motorola and Cingular just announced the latest and greatest thing---phone tattoos for the Motorola RAZR phones. The tattoos allow the customers to change the look of their handset to their own personal style.
How the Cell Phone Tattoos work:
The phone tattoos come in a 3-pack of pre-designed stickers created in various colors and patterns. The different packs include stickers of:
- Carbon Fiber, Grey Camouflage and Starburst Blue
or
- Pink Plaid, Pink Camouflage and Starburst Pink
My favorite thing about the phone tattoos is the ability to create your own tattoo.
You can get a pack of four blank tattoos that come with complete instructions on how to design and print customized tattoos which gives you the ability to show off your shoe collection, your boy toy, or just create a unique design. To create tattoos:
- Purchase Phone Tattoos By You!
- Download free software from Motorola
The great thing about the tattoos is that they can be easily peeled off and they don't leave a residue, plus they are super cheap, only $9.99 per pack.
I'm off to get my phone tatts so I can take my phone out on the town all dolled up!

Here's Bono wearing matching shades at the Launch Event for the new Motorola Red SLVR cell phone in London. The U2 singer's Project Red, an AIDS charity, will receive some proceeds from both phone sales and monthly service charges! The phone is now available in the UK, but there is only a waiting list for the rest of us.
Gap, Armani, Converse and American Express will also produce merchandise for this charity. See more at Project Red's website: Join Red .com.
Purchasing info is at Motorola.com.
The Phone Bag (originally seen on Sci Fi Tech, then Techie Diva) from La Pochette (a vintage purse company, and yes, this purse is "old") has fooled somebody, Alex (male or female?), at Digital Lifestyle (pop-ups warning).
Let's be clear, I am a girl who loves fashion and gadgets. But this thing is not cool and it's downright ugly. That's all there is to be said about its functionality as a purse ... but when I think about using it as a phone, solely, well that might work. Although it's a very expensive haute phone at $295.
Shock! There is an old-school part of me that loves the feel of those old phone receivers, shaped long to fit your hand on just right. See what I'm talking about with an actual receiver for the cell phone: Fred Cell Phone Receiver.
It works with most cell phones, but comes with adapters (just in case). If you're wondering how this is useful, I've just got to say, "sometimes I feel like I need to relax more than holding my (relatively) tiny phone in my hand or stuck on my shoulder. Sometimes I want to lay back on my bed and groove, baby. This phone handle looks down-right comfy!" Plus it's cute! In red and---ooh, pink!!
(I want that!) $20 from FredFlare.com.
Via The Seattle Times: There has been some underground buzz about iPod makers, Apple, coming out with cell phones and even a wireless service (watch out). Last week, reports trickled to the media that the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office had approved an Apple patent for a sort of portable wireless device and phone. (Garble-dy-gook to me, read here.) This is in addition to Apple applying for a trademark, earlier this year, for "Mobile Me" (a mobile phone service).
"Nobody has come up with the definitive music experience on a handset yet," said John Jackson, a wireless industry analyst at the Yankee Group. "It's a very open opportunity. It has powerful potential."
I wonder what it will do for stylish phones. iPods are the best looking mp3 players around, and I believe they have such success partly due to that. I saw the Pink iPod, I had to get it, no matter what. I didn't care about the mini size, that thing was cute. I'm very interested in seeing what they make. I want a prototype! I hear (pop-uppy site) that it could come out by 2007. Well, I wish I had a cute pic to put on the blog!
If you're lucky enough to live in certain European countries and have probably thousands of dollars to spare, you can grab (or maybe you are lucky enough to ogle in the store) a Dolce & Gabbana Razr V3i phone from Motorola (no word on a specific service provider).
It comes with some media features, but I don't see a logo, so why bother? Me, I'm starting to yearn for the Pink Razr, now around $80 from Cingular. Now that I've got this gig, I figure it's a tax write-off???!!!
Also new in luxury phones: 24 karat Gold Nokia 8800. Boy, do I feel better about my splurges.
