Freckleface's 'Money Bags' Bra Wallets

February 01, 2008

They're bras with ... breastises inside (check 2nd picture--mature)! This is the most inventive handbag creation since the first person correlated purses with vaginae (probably the first man to see a woman with one, and I vouch for the concept).

Freckleface Money Bag

These wallets are open inside like pouches, with one zippered pocket, so they could double as small clutches, too. Just be careful who's around when you pull your cash out of the - um - cups. Whoo! Bag flash!

What a riot! This custom Money Bag (different bras/skin tones) is available from Freckleface for only $35. Beyond a steal for a must in any purse collection!!

And for more fun, check out the beyond saucy baldie lady, the Britney - it's the um, other part. ;-)

Coach Fragrance Line & LE Straw Basket with Goodies

April 03, 2007

Coach Fragrance Print Scarf

Coach has actually made an accessory line printed with a red/pink fragrance theme in celebration of their new perfume. They've also made up a limited edition compilation of the LE Jasmine XL Straw "Basket" bag filled with pieces from the line, plus a pair of shades and the exclusive to the "gift basket", bronzer compact (which I think is a pretty awesome little beauty case).

Coach LE Jasmine Gift Bag

The main feature of this LE gift set is the Jasmine XL Straw Basket ($998 separately, limited on its own as well) which features a rounded body of straw, orange leather and snake skin trim, brass hardware with ringed full-height straps and fragrance-print lining with 5 interior pockets. It's sized 24" x 13.5" x 10.5"!
The official list of items included is: Fragrance-print crusher hat, beach towel, Framed coin purse, Patti sunglasses, and an exclusive Bronzer Set in the Fragrance Print Case.

Coach Fragrance Print Brush Case ClutchThe cost of the package is $1600 (eek) too steep for me even though I'd love to own this, but instead I can pick up a little piece of the "fragrance" line separately. My choice is the unique "Brush case" which can be used as a beauty case or even a clutch! Love it. If you can't get the package, which is in limited quantities, perhaps look on eBay for that exclusive bronzer, as I will. (No low price guarantee, though.)

If you have the cash/budgeting and love for Coach or just plain cute accessories, go for it, it's sold online at coach.com or in select boutiques, but you can always have it shipped free by calling your favorite store location/favorite SA.

Below are photos of what's included in the Limited Edition Fragrance Straw Gift Basket:

Bagosphere Buzz - I like your bags!

March 26, 2007

Iiiii'm siiiiick! I come home from vacation for this to set in on me. I never get sick, and this is sick like I've never been (not the worst though, but certainly different). What a good day to start this feature up again, because I'm not sure how much original brain power I have in me. Oiiii.

Get your own bagPictured is the "Get Your Own Bag" message canvas tote. It's simple, filled with attitude and I also see loads of irony in it. A shapeless cartooned tote bag conveying envy and pride over a bag---what bag?---even the mini bag pictured is not "cute". I believe it must be made with rightful intention, making fun of bag lovers. Still, it's notable. Find purchase info (for the uncensored version too) at The Purse Blog.

Introduce yourselves to Eco-Bag, an online shop for bags designed by indies that are all recycled materials. The once soda bottle, once seat belt buckle, and once ... boat sail? Yep, all hand made and all environmentally friendly. Shop via In My Bag.

Love that luxury trash bag style of the Coco Cabas, but for a well, still more expensive than trash pricetag? The Chapman Large Slouch Hobo by Charles David is a brandy copycat of Chanel's bag. For less the money, but it's not like you like the Chanel aside from its logo anyway! Via Seora Cartera (Mrs. Handbag).

Model Lily Cole designed a line of bags for Monsoon Accessories, EBelle5 featured a rainbow striped small purse.

Ooh, an umbrella case! What a nice change of pace. In cute rainbowed stars, the umbrella with case from Top Shop costs 12 pounds, and is only available in stores in the UK. Boo hoo, this sick girl is crying! Via The Bag Lady.

And finally, this doesn't have to do with bags, but when I saw this billboard last week, I thought it would be perfect about for Counterfeit Chic to write. It's Coke's new billboards for Coca Cola Zero, like, "tastes so much like Coke, we should sue ourselves". Funny?

Visit these great blogs, and we'll see you around.

Miroir, Miroir, on my Arm ...

March 13, 2007

Louis Vuitton Miroir SpeedyI waited & waited for the miroir collection LV bags to go online in some form, eLUXURY or just LouisVuitton.com, but the bags are just that limited that they didn't. Really wanting to feature them at least as history on the blog, I finally turned to Google, and I found photos from Twiggers on the Purse Blog. So thanks.

But no, the Miroir Speedy will not be on my arm. I don't even particularly want it there. Not the fairest bags of them all, featuring metallic ... PVC? It's not only gaudy, but ... cheap? at only $1380 for the Speedy I could easily save and afford (well, by now it's too late anyway, but perhaps eBay) to buy it, but I'd rather not.

In silver or gold Monogram and offered in the Speedy, Alma GM, Papillon, Keepall and a couple accessories in non-monogram, the Miroir collection is both famous among divas and history for the great fashion house.

But why PVC? Why not metallic monogram patent leather? I've been thinking about that lately, and it seems like a rockin' idea. *Shrug*

Search through eBoutique on eBay for authentic Miroir items.

So where are my beautiful princes of LV bags? Not here, but we'll see.

Desire: Chloe Edith Pocket Key Fob

March 09, 2007

Chloe Edith Pouch KeychainOoooooooooooh! No, they didn't! Chloe made a to-die key chain styled after their 'Edith' bags. I swear this is an IT key fob if I ever saw one! Featuring a clasp-closure (no annoying "ring" to break your nails whilst attaching keys) and a mini little pocket with Edith-style buckle.

Oh, no. Not another Chloe key chain I want to buy! I already have one. (Plus 6 bags.) *blush*

And it's an expensive one, at $280!

But hey it comes in whiskey (dark tan) coloured leather, so it doesn't match my Chamois large Edith (too bad, it'd be dear to hang off it, because it's a pocketless style).

I don't need it, I don't need it. Tell myself that. Oh, no, if this pops up on eBay, I know I'll cave.

Hermes Kelly Shearling Muff

March 08, 2007

Hermes Kelly Muff

I absolutely adore this Kelly-styled shearling-lined leather muff that IMHO stole the show at Hermes. The thing is I'm not sure if it's actually a bag! It doesn't appear to be able to fit much in it besides hands. It is definitely styled after the classic Kelly bag, though, so if it's not a bag, I say it's just as good---or better? One thing's certain, this is the most stylin' muff ever!

Show Us Your Unmentionables! What's in Your Clear Bag? Pursed Lips' First Ever Contest

January 20, 2007

From embarrassing and ugly in the 90s to faux useful and patriotic for 2007, the see-through bag is now being reported as "trendy" and even "the next big thing."

Oh gah!

The myth being perpetrated by dim-witted fashion journalists that clear PVC designer handbags hold the answer to the 21st century fashionista's travel dilemmas is insane! The see-through baggies that hold liquids for security checkpoints are required to be separate from the rest of one's purse belongings and not be sized to hold more than 1 quart. Duh! Buying one of these clear bags at ridiculous prices for that reason is misguided, and I hope no one falls for it.

Still, the possibility of these bags actually having some style to them has not been decided as completely imbecilic yet. Time and plummeting sale pricetags will tell.

Here are some photos of clear designer bags, via IguanaFashions, which is holding a contest to find the coolest indie version of the new style. (Also see our original entry: Spring 2007 Garbage Bags: Oscar de la Renta)

Clear designer bags

Having this topic and blog entry sitting on my desktop awaiting me to post about finally led me to a genius idea ...Our own contest - Pursed Lips .net's first contest ever, in fact.

A) You send in a photo or a few of a clear bag with your actual personal necessities inside - what you carry around daily in your bag. We post it here and and then - you show you're really not embarrassed. While the contest continues you post the link to your special page here in as many places as you can (forum signatures, Flickr*, Squidoo Lenses, blogs, blogrolls, e-mail signatures, MySpace, etc.) The person who shows the highest level of brevity and who has the coolest stuff in her bag will be deemed the winner - and she gets a collection of little goodies to go in her daily purse - such as makeup bags, even a wallet - by brands and luxe brands alike!

You can cheat a little taking the photos, sneak pics at a department store, you may even get away with really fantastic Photoshop skills, as a last resort. We understand it may be hard to even want to own one of these bags.

B) The 2nd option to entering is to submit photos of your favorite purse (one you think actually deserves to be "the next big bag") and what's inside, and then link to the contest entries' main page in as many fashions as above, while also blogging, or in some other way posting or publishing an article with your opinions on clear bags. The other part of this contest is to find out what people think of the trend! Plus, by sending us a photo of your own IT bag, you'll help us know which bags are actually the hottest for 2007!
Then, all that linking will hopefully pay off for you, because our visitors will help to vote on a winner! So essentially when you link to your own page here, ask for a vote! But that's not all, the links also act as votes for you, as well!

Rules:

  • A photo is necessary, and so is multiple-linking. Links from a single domain do not count.

  • The links must be permanent, with only up to 25% being taken down after the contest ends. (I can judge which links you'll want to remove.)

  • The photos have to be of your belongings, you can not steal photos.

  • *If you post the photo on Flickr, you must link to us from a comment.

  • I don't want someone with all Louis Vuitton, or other impressive brands, to win based on them in the photos alone. I will stop voting and choose my own winners, in this case.

  • Votes cannot be based on whether an applicant actually has a clear bag, even if you think that makes the photos better. Judge on what's inside.

  • No voting until the submission phase has ended.

  • Due to concerns of participation level, I can not say when each step will end at this time. This is actually quite fair to you.

  • All prizes will be announced at a later date. I think I will add one prize to the pool for every 5 applicants, and stop when we have great goodies to fill a good sized bag. (So don't worry about your links announcing the contest to competitors, just submit and hope to win even more great things.)

To Enter! Submit photos, and subsequently all your URLs where there are links, to PrivatesinmyPurse [at] aol. You'll need to wait for your photos to be published here and receive that URL back before you can start linking.

Now, have fun!

Fendi Spring 2007 - Clutch or Case?

November 30, 2006

Fendi Spring 2007 clutch case

Here is a peak at one item from Fendi's Spring 2007 bag collection. I hope this is some sort of case, but it could be a little clutch bag. It's certainly different with that large zipper pull. I just really think this would make a cute beauty or camera case over a bag, though.

See more of the collection at Style.com.
