I was just a tad or almost late to receive word of this video ... ;-) And then my computer & I were both too under the weather to write. It's been a bad week, but the shopping is better!
It's different for an actress or musician to claim to be a designer than it is for a stylist to turn designer, so even though we all know Rachel Zoe best from fame and her relatively new reality show, she's A-OK or even better (than OK) as a fashion designer. A stylist getting a reality show, even if good, is a bit of an "ugh"-inducer, but that's another story (and I just don't like reality programming anyway).
(And now, shop your TV! - err, monitor.)

To highlight that Zoe can design, I'm showcasing my favorite item from the video: I so want this necklace! In a word, unique; which is what "design" should be - or must be by definition, IMHO (in my haughty opinion).
I only wish it were reversible for a low-back dress.
Rachel Zoe at QVC is for sale now on QVC. See it on the "dot com".
*Update* After wondering how MB Fashion Week was mostly big-nameless, we finally realized the official list is incomplete. We're trying to find more videos for you. As always, more photos are on style.com.
So even though it may be exciting that some designers this season have live streams of their fashion shows on their respective websites - like I, you might find the stalking of those times and domains a little troubling to fit into your life.
Also like I, you may have noticed on Friday, two days into New York Fashion Week, mbfashionweek.com's YouTube channel they promote still only showcased ... cars. Like---ew!!! Even today, where are all the designer videos?
Internet searches are sometimes no help in finding what we need. No thanks to some web designers slyly hinting at their most awesome content with mere image links - bah.
So to make it super easy on anyone visiting here, we're embedding all the runway show official videos from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week so far, and after this Monday moves on, more quickly relaying them. Hopefully we'll be able to find you/us all of the other cities' weeks as well.
A revisit to the Christopher Kane story, with an update. First to recap, Christopher Kane dissed bloggers seemingly insinuating they do not belong in the front row of fashion shows, etc.
But he was given the chance to explain himself, if he so wished, when Grazia Daily .co.uk gave him a quick interview and that chance. It seems the message he really wants to get out there is "if you can't say anything nice ... add something nice anyway." His actual words were,
“You’re allowed to say what you want but sometimes the blogs that you [sic] read are really negative, and that’s what I meant to say, really. Sometimes it’s too negative for my liking and I think maybe [bloggers] could give someone a compliment or say something nice. But bloggers nowadays seem to be a bit negative. ... That’s all I meant to say.”
Here's the video of the brief conversation,
Well that's much nicer Chris, now we hope you happen to stumble upon us! ;-)
*Update* I've looked a bit into Grazia and oddly enough even though Christopher talks about them as though they're just one of "us(/them) blogs" (an excerpt I didn't include before, "but Grazia Daily seems to be really great and that’s really fun and Ten Blog who I sometimes edit with are always high and nice...") they actually are foremost a glossy magazine.
Le sigh! So what is it Chris, eh? Do you like any actual blogs for which you don't write? Come on now, learn something about us! (And British magazines to boot.)
David Boreanaz shows off his snazzy socks hidden underneath his pants. (He also shows off some leg in a sexy old-old-school way, wooo!) They may not fit the rule of "black shoes/pants = black socks" but they're neutral on the bottom and then - bam! - a blue stripe at the top. David calls them "Dr. Seuss". Ella feels a little bit of hidden personal pizazz is totally fabulous!
The whole interview is also pretty cute and funny. Gosh, I have never found Mr. Angel (and Bones guy) so attractive. Heh. ;-)
This new Mac Book looks great, mix the Mac Book green with pro and make it small (13" width, widescreen would be nice) and it could be my next computer.
It's a good thing the economy is the way it is though, because there is no mention of this machine on Apple.com whatsoever. Or any sign of it being purchasable in the near future. No "Froogle" or news jumps out at me. (And I'm demanding and require that for it to count as marketed.)
The worst thing is that Apple.com's search doesn't make any sense, they promote random movies when I search for what should be Apple products. Is this some lame iTunes tie-in? That's just what it is, lame.
Add a page for every product and/or ad you serve to TV Apple, god, I thought you were smarter than that!
At least(???) we can enjoy the above ad, but it's kind of like the fairy tale that is the rest of our hopes for bettering our planet. It's not like I don't trust Barack Obama, it's just that well, it's lame duck season, and unfortunately that doesn't mean hunting.
A foot note, kudos to YouTube for their new video embed. Not only does it work well with WordPress, but it matches almost any site, which is so tempting now that there are so many other embeddable video sites! I just wish the Google affiliation with it could fit into my layouts (sidebars) like these vids do my posts!! (However we can go straight to YouTube to get Google code for single videos or multiples, so although it won't fit most sidebars, it's a great step!) (Of course, getting revenue from embedding YouTube videos into posts is also huge incentive!)
