The Elliott Lucca brand's work with leather is usually innovative or at least interesting and usually gorgeous. And this mid-sized clutch slash strap bag is on sale for roughly $106.

With its double-diamond-design in a quilted stitch, in lavender, chocolate, olive and black, the bag is 13" x 6" with two removable straps for different wearing lengths.

Isn't that ... 3 bags in one for one modest price? In these times, that's priceless!

Glass would kill a girl's feet faster than any stiletto, and would break so easily, thus breaking our hearts and skin. "Clear heels" are just for strippers and are plastic (and smelly). So where is that perfect Cinderella shoe?

Genius Stuart Weitzman designed a pump with sheer lacy fabric, in a grey, keeping that peek-through look while perhaps even adding comfort beyond the usual 2.5" tall heel.

There are sadly no reviews on Zappos yet, but customers did report this shoe as narrower than marked (which is medium width). Perhaps it's a little for the petite feeted, and while mine are not, I so am choosing this to be my eventual bridal shoe. I may have to hunt on eBay by then even if it pushes a longer engagement, but at least that might help the price.

In this recession, or even with my moderate-compensating-in-good-times career, I'd never mind a less expensive gown, in fact, I'd rather choose Etsy (helps my ultra-petite problem anyway). So yes, even though I dislike uncomfortable shoes, heels, even wearing darling Manolos (and even a past pair of Weitzman's) I still think I'd go for the dream shoe at the dreamiest of balls. Silly me? Well ... yes. This blog's existence is proof, my dears!

But you? This is a perfect New Year's Glitz shoe, and even now on sale at 33% off! I'd grab it now if I could! (No, seriously, I would! No affiliation prompting me.)

Here are my opinions on what's hot or not in shoes NOW:

Those sky-high platform wedges soooo prevalent last year by Christian Louboutin are now boring me to tears. Puh-lease. Move on. Or not? Purchase here.

Manolo Blahnik made a western-style boot exclusively for Neiman Marcus .com, and now it's on sale for $525 from $1,050! With a more Manolo thinner high heel, the calfskin boot is tooled and detailed with western-influenced design. For cowgirls or just trendy fashionistas, the Cowbotta has several sizes left.

It's the first Saturday Sale of 2007! Shop happy until midnight, you little Cinderellas!

B. Fendis! B. Fendis! These bags were so prevalent in stores and on people's wish lists this year. One of the bags of 2006, for sure. The style debuted in the year, and one of the very first to come out, and the first to make most magazines, was the B. Fendi Lace & Embroidery Shoulder Bag. It's still being sold now - plus it's on sale! $3,633 from $5,190! Sure, the bag is a busy B., and there might be others you prefer (I actually do) but one has to admit, this bag buzzes luxury.

For shoes, what caught my eyes were these Cupola Satin Ballerina Shoes. The print is just-right on a ballerina flat, but wait, these aren't flats. They have a short chunky heel. It's all blended oddly, but beautifully when we add that long ankle strap with bow. Wow, what a shoe. And it's $249 off of $420.
