Is this issue seriously worthy of republicans and fashion critiques to debate? The "hot" topic - even controversy - surrounding the White House most recently is Michelle Obama wearing a sleevless dress to her husband's first address to Congress.
I suppose some more conservative types feel this is too casual and/or flashy for such a figure and/or such an event.
Ella says that sleeved dresses are way more 1980s than today. Other supporters include dress-best guru Stacy London,
"I think Michelle Obama's choice to show her arms in any situation is completely appropriate. It is a fashion do; she's got great arms!"
USA Today readers expressed their opinions via a poll on whether or not the First Lady going sleeveless as often as she does is appropriate, "49% = who cares?, 40% = yes, 11% = no".
Seriously, who should care?
FYI, another first lady to "bare arms"; Jackie O.
'Nuff said? (As they say.)
