Alice in Wonderland - inspiration, beauty, art, 'heart', fashion. A shopping spread.

Our budget for movie-going is very low, so I have not been able to catch onto "Alice" fever like most fashionistas, but when I saw this blue/red combo Melissa heart pumps, I was very inspired.

I knew this spread needed to be gorgeous and artful and I know I'm personally limited somehow on Polyvore.com set making, so I opened up Paint Shop Pro and went to work, old-school-style. (OK old-me style, for this is not low tech!)

I saw Alice in Wonderland yesterday in 3D. It was AMAZING!!! Love the stuff you chose, and great photo! It really is incredible!!

Thanks, ladies. I'm planning on wearing an Alice-inspired ensemble after I receive my new black Mary-Janes in the mail. I'm not sure what it will exactly consist of though because, as I've just realized, I don't have much blue! I've been wanting a really soft blue cardigan for years, but the problem is I'm allergic to animal fur so badly I even get rashes from cashmere. (Thus I need to find it in acrylic.)

I love how you, Glendy, included a fur tail in your inspiration, but I hope it's fake! I cannot pull off horizontal stripes, I can't believe that's the only thing out there in the stripe trend, yet curves are supposed to be in. Are people saying anyone can wear 'em now??

I have a purple striped shirt I've been hiding, heh. It works as an under layer though.
